Why must I replace the batteries?
The last time my security system notified me that new batteries were needed, and that I had to buy and install them,I called Xfinity and the rep laughed a little and said, "No, no. We would never ask you to buy and install batteries."
Also, a link was sent to my email, saying I could buy the batteries by following it. It led to a page that did not load. As usual, the chat function because it has not functioned for a few years.
Do I have to buy and install batteries or not?

Hi there! Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support here on our Community Forum @MJR728! We are so happy to hear from you and want to help out in any way that we can with making sure that this is taken care of for you. Can you tell me if this is one of your sensors that needs a battery replacement? If so, yes, you would need to replace that battery.
