Older Xfinity security system with new cameras
I have been at our current home for 7 years and have had Xfinity security all this time. I don’t believe the touchscreen has been replaced since we got it. I have since added the latest Xfinity cameras and connected these to my home network. I can see them fine on my Xfinity app on my phone, but I cannot see any video on the touchscreen. When the system was first installed, they also installed a Netgear router which I guess is for the touchscreen. I have no idea how to access this router. Two questions - do I really need this netgear router and how can I connect the touchscreen to my home network. One additional question - has there been any new or upgraded touchscreens? Thanks in advance.

Hello @user_74608c and thank you for posting your questions on our Xfinity Community forums!
Some information regarding the Xfinity cameras can be found below.

If you are using a WNR1000 Security Router but now have an update gateway like the XB7, there's a chance that the touchscreen is paired to the router and the cameras are paired to the modem.
It is possible you don't need the router any more. If you give us a call at 844-382-9363, we can assist with seeing about the potential for removing the router from the setup and making sure the touchscreen is paired with the XB7 instead.
You should know that this may require a tech to swing by to complete the setup for you.
