Night Time Vision

My security camera I have works just fine until the sun goes down. Once it’s night the latest and greatest Xfinity camera does not switch to its night vision. I have to tried to reset it through either the Xfinity app, the Xfinity Home app and manually unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. Nothing works!!!

Thank you for taking the time to reach out and being part of the Xfinity family. I'm sorry you're having issues with your Xfinity Home service at night. We should be able to send you out some replacement cameras. I have this same problem.  I've contacted Comcast through chat multiple times and all they ever want to do is reset my modem.  It is an issue with the quality of the cameras, not my connection.  The old cameras worked great - they installed these new ones awhile back and I haven't been able to see a thing at night ever since.

Hello, @user_093afb, thank you for sharing that with us! We do understand how important it is to have the night vision! Visibility at all times when you have cameras in your home is paramount. Since traditional troubleshooting has not resolved the issue, we have another way to tackle this, please use the chat icon in the upper right to enter Direct Messaging and send us a message with your full name and full address.

 

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "direct messaging" icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message
