Motorola 7711 modem/router not working with Comcast security cameras.

Motorola 7711 modem/router not working with Comcast security cameras. This was recommended by Comcast. I changed from triple play and got rid of cable but still have Internet and phone and security cameras. I’ve spent three weeks trying to get them “paired“ Comcast out yesterday for four hours and could not get them to work. Supervisor out today could not get them to work. He said they are not compatible. Router was $200 and Comcast approved. Any ideas?

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced with your Xfinity Home service when using your own purchased modem. Has this been resolved for you?

When you installed the modem, did you also install a router? Please remember that modems require routers in most network configurations for features like WiFi or to support add-on products like Xfinity Home. This is one of the reasons we recommend our modems to customers. Our modems have the modem and router built into one device. Additionally, with our modems, we are able to provide much more support for your equipment if you experience issues such as this. 

Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues or if you would like to swap to a Comcast modem. Thanks.
