X-Pods Overheating / Safety Issue

The issue with X-Pods overheating seems to be a huge safety issue and I’m surprised a recall hasn’t been issued. I’ve had mine for some period over a year and today I noticed one offline. When I checked it, there is literally a scorch mark on the top of the pod. Has the company issued some sort of recall that anyone is aware of or issued refunds or exchanges?

Hello, @user_6d7d7d! Thank you for reaching out over our Community Forums. I do apologize the xFi Pods are overheating, that is definitely a huge safety concern! We currently don't have any recalls issued for our xFi Pods due to overheating. Often times an overloaded circuit can cause overheating in an electrical outlet. Our xFi Pods should definitely not be hot to the touch.

I would recommend reviewing our return policy for the xFi Pod, and see if they can be replaced, or refunded.

Hi there, @user_9181aa, thank you for taking the time to reach out and let us know the experience you are having with the xFi Pods. That is certainly not experience we would want you having. Have you reviewed return policy using the link above? Are you within the timeframe to have those Pods returned or replaced?

I'm having the same issue and now Xfinity is telling me they won't take them back for a return or exchange because they are past the warranty time-frame. This isn't acceptable because they are defective. I pay Xfinity almost $200 a month for service and the level of customer service in return is horrible regarding this matter. How can you sell me a defective product, that's a safety hazard and not take them back?
