Xfinity/Complete Recovery Corporation requesting equipment returns for equipment I never had.

Over the past few weeks, I have been contacted by Xfinity and Complete Recovery Corporation asking me to return my Xfinity equipment after I cancelled my service about a month ago.

The issue is, I never had any Xfinity equipment. Checking xfinity.com/returns shows no devices available to return, and repeated calls and messages to Xfinity support have confirmed that there is no Xfinity equipment that I need to return.

On my last communication with Xfinity on July 13, 2023, I was told a ticket was opened to resolve this issue, and that I should not receive any further communication regarding equipment. However, I received a call from Complete Recovery Corporation on July 20, 2023, as well as a reminder text message from Xfinity this morning, July 21, 2023 to "return your Xfinity equipment within 30 days of ending service to avoid charges."

Since I cannot return equipment that I never was provided with, I would like additional, prompt assistance with this matter. I do not wish to be charged for equipment I never was provided.

@XfinityAirelle I am having the same issue. got an email from completerecovery corp and we turned in this box 2 years ago with the technician who came to our house.

We have canceled all services and we still have not received our refund check, plus you are holding us captive with the $30 broadband credit so we can't get that switched to another provider.  help!

Thank you for reaching out @user_3zo7g3 I would be happy to review the account to check if you have equipment listed. If you do the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/returning-your-equipment?linkId=85670289&linkId=177085098 are the steps to initiate a return of your equipment. We have an awesome partnership with UPS and will take care of the postage for you! Or you can always visit a local service center to return the devices there.
