Xfinity tries to scam me for 100s of dollars in data overage charges

I have unfortunately encountered the same issue as many people on this thread. In December or January, my data supposedly increased in usage, although I have not changed any practices in my home. I tried in vain for several months to get onto an unlimited package, since I didn’t know what else to do. Now today I finally have been told that with an extra $25 a month. I am on an unlimited day plan but I still have to eat some of the overage charges that they applied. Of course they told me it was my responsibility to check my bill, which they make exceedingly difficult since they don’t send paper statements unless you’re willing to pay more for them. I am so over this company. I wish there were more alternatives. My experience with their customer service has been nothing short of horrendous.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey user_cz35rw, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your data concerns. We definitely understand how frustrating overages can be. If you are having data disputes, you can reach out to our Customer Security Assurance Team for more information regarding your data usage at 1-800-Xfinity (800.934.6489) and ask for the team.

I would be happy to check that you're on our Unlimited Data plan now to avoid having to worry about your data in the future.

They pulled the same scam with me and I wasn’t even in my home half of January. I filed a report with fcc because I can prove I didn’t go over for Jan Feb March. Also switching to Verizon home.
