Xfinity sends wrong WiFi gateway for speed

Why is it when you purchase a new higher speed plan Xfinity sends and underrated WiFi gateway then several weeks later requests for your permission to send another one? Is this to scam people out of another $15 shipping fee and hope they forget to return the original equipment? If they knew several weeks later why send the incorrect one initially?  Idiots!

Hi there. We understand why this would be frustrating, especially after upgrading your speed and expecting the correct gateway to be sent the first time.

The gateway assigned should support the speed tier on the account. If a replacement was requested a few weeks later, it may mean the original gateway was not the right model for the updated service or the equipment assignment did not update correctly when the plan changed. We would need to review the order history to confirm exactly what happened.

Can you please send us a direct message with your full name and service address so we can take a closer look?

- Click “Sign In” if necessary.
