Xfinity NOW WiFi Hotspot Pass Suddenly Stopped Working

As the title states, Xfinity HotSpot Pass suddenly stopped working after 2 months of working almost perfectly fine. I've paid for the pass three times since it's pretty useful, specially if you only use 2 devices and don't want the hassle of a monthly contract with equipment. Which is also more expensive with lots of hidden fees.

And then suddenly this month, it just stopped working. It constantly gets disconnected, goes out of range, and even shows as 'no internet' when connected. Not sure what the issue is but it's basically impossible to work with. I've tried reaching out to customer service representatives via email, chat and even on the phone, with zero help. Some representatives appear to not even know that Xfinity offers this product.

I've also tried updating my laptop's system, hardware, restarted, but it's definitely the hotspot connection because I am able to connect to another network, and it's far more stable despite it having lower signal. 

For some reason, it does work perfectly fine on my phone and doesn't have as much trouble staying connected to my TV. I know that the WiFi is only meant to be used with 2 devices, so I don't really connect the phone. 

It seems very unprofessional from Xfinity to offer a product that they have zero customer service for. I'd be willing to pay $15/month or even $20/month if it mean better overall support. The service itself from the hotspot, while not necessarily ideal for someone working, is still a pretty good solution specially if you work remotely, since this wide-range of hotspot locations is offered at coffee shops, restaurants and even hotels.

Luiss7 Thank you so much for you post for help with your Wifi NOW pass. I understand the fustration when reaching out for help and our team not knowing how to help. WIth the NOW services of any kind NOW Internet, NOW TV, NOW Mobile and the NOW wifi pass they are not included in our normal support system and we do not have access to assist with these services when you reach out using the normal support options. For assistance with any of the NOW products you will need to use our chat for assistance.

Eh it works okay I recently moved in the last six months and just ran into this xfinity hot spot thing; that it does not work.

user_up22bh It really just depends on the proximity to the nearest hotspot, and the network traffic. Have you explored our new NOW Internet option? This would provide you a dedicated in home device that you can have set up.

Mines isn’t working either it’s like it’s a waste of money . 10 dollars isn’t a lot but it can be use for something else, if we can’t get what we paying for that’s how companies loses customers because they say one thing and other things happen. I’m going to fios with my money at least they hotspot works perfect

Yes  I did they said the hotspots are down and going to fix them asap I told her y’all losing customers by them losing money especially those who work from home or on the road and need this . I’m switching my service Wi-Fi provider if they don’t fix this soon . This is ridiculous and they suppose to be the best no no no Verizon wireless is the best mobile wise and Wi-Fi wise . I should’ve went with them at first . I would’ve paid more but my Wi-Fi hotspot or anything won’t be down now . Xfinity a million dollar company or more they shouldn’t be running into these problems for this long . If it’s not up soon and it’s the weekend they willl lose me as a customer for good , money to hard to come by sometime and nobody got time to waste and lose money on a company who can’t get hot spots fixed in a timely manner
