Xfinity makes cancelling service unnecessarily difficult.
I contacted Xfinity today to cancel my internet service, and the process was unnecessarily frustrating.
After finally getting through the cancellation process over the phone, I opened Xfinity chat support because I wanted written confirmation that my service had actually been cancelled and that billing would stop once I returned the leased equipment.
The chat showed that my position in the queue was 0, but no representative ever responded.
Cancelling service should not require this much time and effort. Between the difficult phone process and chat support not responding, the entire experience made a bad situation even worse.
I was already leaving Xfinity, but after dealing with this cancellation process, I can confidently say I will not use Xfinity services again.
At this point, I simply want written confirmation of my cancellation date and confirmation that I will not be charged for service after that date as long as the leased equipment is returned on time.
