Xfinity leaking appointment information to scam callers
I received what I now believe to be a scam call from an 855 area code number. They knew I had scheduled an appointment and even knew the time the appointment had been scheduled for.
I was a bit wary after getting on the line with them, but because they only asked for name and address, I did give them that information, after which they essentially didn't ask or do anything else and ended the call.
Now I'm afraid of what they will do with that information.
How is it that scam callers were able to get this information? Shouldn't this kind of info be protected?
