Xfinity has expanded into my area....But my address is not serviceable.

Why is my address not serviceable?

Comcast/Xfinity started expanding in my county back in December, if I am not mistaken they had a contract with the County. In March of this year they finally started construction on the road that I live on. My house is a little off of the main road, we have a county owned road that leads between my three properties.

For 2 weeks, we had various comcast utility vehicles up and down our driveway installing fiber optic cables on our power poles. Then we had various comcast vans at each power pole closest to a house, splicing the cables ( I can't remember exactly what the man said he was doing.)

Now construction has moved on, as it is now May. I have contacted neighbors and they have access to Xfinity internet. I have ordered service online and it lets me get all the way done, even lets me pick out an installation date and time. Then I always receive a call that says that we are not in the network area.

I have put in a ticket to have a technician to come out to see if we can hook up to the network as a new installation, and the ticket was canceled without having anyone show up.

I waited 2 more weeks and tried again today to sign up online. It let me go through the entire process and again I was called and then transferred to 3 different people only to be told I would have to put in another ticket.

I am worried that I am being overlooked when it comes to the tickets.

Xfinity is the only internet service that has become available in my area.

Please help!

Hello there @user_nqmjam! Thanks for your interest in our services! There could be several reasons why your specific location is not serviceable yet. The tickets would generally help to get details. I would be happy to check into the location and see what I can find out! Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address and any of the ticket numbers you may have. Thanks!
