Xfinity downloads software to my customer-owned modem causing problems

Xfinity downloads software to my customer-owned modem via a config file causing the modem to factory reset for me to get it back operational. Then I have to go through the setup process again.   I can verify this in the event logs.  This has happened before and I need to get help to change whatever is needed at Xfinity.

I can honestly say in my 10 years working in Comcast I have never heard of a customer owned modem having this type of issue, but we are happy to help you with whatever we can. What types of changes are you looking to have done?
