Xfinity assistant scamming me?

My assistant upgraded me to 2 gig internet for the same price. He then told me it comes with a free mobile data line and asked for me Sim address. After sharing that he stated to access it I needed to click a link he provided that would need personal information like my SSN. I told him I was uncomfortable clicking an outside link and providing data like my SSN. He got really pushy, told me if I didnt click it soon it would expire, and said he couldn't help me if I didnt click it. I told him to just send me a physical SIM card instead and he refused and stated once again I had to click the link. I told him to just fix my problem, I didnt need the data line anyway. When we logged off I tried to download the chat log and it said downloading had been disabled. Was this guy scamming me? Could he have locked me into some kind of contract without sharing all the details when he "upgraded" my account? I did take screen shots of much of the conversation.....
