Xfinity Affiliate Business Partner Net2Phone

I am a small business owner. Recently, I was looking for a phone provider for my business. As a longtime Xfinity business internet customer, I contacted Xfinity for the service. When I explained to your sales rep what we were looking for, they told me your company works with Net2Phone and that they would be able to provide us with the phone system that we needed. When we contacted Net2Phone, they promised us many services that were not provided during our short three weeks as customers. We had three major issues with the services. When we initially signed on with Net2Phone, we were promised text messaging, welcome menus, call logs, and a schedule so that calls could go straight to voicemail after hours. We had many calls not come through, causing complaints and frustration from our customers, and when the calls did come through, they were sent straight to voicemail. The text messaging service could not be activated until after we signed a 3 year contract with Net2Phone and we were told the only additional cost we would incur would be $2 a month. After signing the contract, we began the activation process only to be informed at that time that not only was it $2 a month, but there were additional activation fees, as well as having to completely redesign our website in order to accommodate the service. After dealing with all this frustration, we were forced to no longer use their services and are now being charged $260.

 

As I understand, this is not your business; I would strongly reconsider your affiliation with this company, as their business practices are dishonest at best, bordering on corrupt.

Hello, @user_0ofp4n thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums. I appreciate all detailed information, and completely understand creating the post. Investigating further, I see that Comcast Business has its own Voice phone service: https://business.comcast.com/learn/phone as well as Comcast Business Mobile: https://business.comcast.com/learn/mobile. When searching Net2Phone they look to be a completely different provider. 

- When you had signed up for service did you reach out via the Comcast Business website or calling into 1-855-460-1870?

I called Xfinity business directly. The representative that I spoke to over the phone said Xfinity services did not provide text messaging with their business phone lines but your affiliate Net2Phone does. So the representative connected me with a sales representative with Net2Phone stating they affiliate with Xfinity for phone services through the internet. And again, I understand that Net2Phone is not Xfinity, however, would just like to bring it to your attention that you may not want to endorse their services as their business practices are not ethical.
