Xfi wifi pod

When switching from modem to pod my Internet drops and it takes about a minute or two to hand off to the pod I am looking to have a mesh network

@user_20rgpa Thanks for adding to the community and sharing your situation. The network does work seamlessly and quickly when switching from the gateway to the Pod, and backwards. Does this happen on all devices? Are the bands named with the same network name?

Hi, it is one network same name both bands are integrated into one and yes it is all devices when moving from living room to a location further away from the modem it connects to the pod but about a minute or two delay and it will connect to the pod and then when switching back to living room it will connect back to modem with a delay in between.

Thanks for clarifying,  have you tried any troubleshooting steps by rebooting your modem and rebooting your boost pods?

user_20rgpaI understand how frustrating it can be to experience a delay when switching between your modem and the xFi Pod. What you’re describing is part of the handoff process, where your device transitions from connecting to the modem to the pod. Ideally, a mesh network like the xFi Pods should create a seamless connection without noticeable interruptions.

A couple of things you can try to improve the experience:

  1. Placement of the xFi Pod: Make sure the pod is placed within range of your modem and the areas where you commonly use your devices. This ensures a stronger signal and quicker handoffs.

  2. Ensure Proper Setup: Double-check that your modem and pod are properly linked through the xFi app, as improper setup can cause delays in handoff.

If these steps do not work, let us know and we can look into this further.
