X1 box - black screen

Recently I updated my tv box to a x1 box and then the issues started. Everything will work for a day or so and then only black screen is shown. Then I restart the box and it is fine for another day. I tried calling the support few times and all I got from the robot assistant is we must restart the equipment and of course it is fine for a day and same issue again.

Hey @user_528c19, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our Forums. When it is a black screen, is it showing no source as well? Also, have you tried instead of restarting the box unplugging the HDMI and plugging it back in to see if it comes back on? I'm curious if it may be the HDMI pass off causing the screen to be black.

Thanks, the black screen happened again it did show source hmi ... 60p and after I unplugged and plugged in the hdmi cable the issue was resolved.

Thanks for trying that and confirming the pass off is the issue. If it continues to happen, the next step would be trying another HDMI cord. If it is still happening after that, let me know and we can get you a new TV box.
