Will the Comcast migration to Yahoo be to the ad-free version?

I have discovered that Yahoo has a free platform with ads and an ad-free platform which has a monthly charge.  Which platform with the Comcast. migration to Yahoo will we get?

Really? You should get out more. https://www.yahoo.com/plus/mail might help you. Basic Yahoo Mail is free but has advertising inserts, Mail Plus costs $5 per month and doesn't (usually) have advertising inserts. Since the whole purpose of moving email accounts is to save money (thereby increasing profits), I very much doubt that they will be springing for Mail Plus.

Thanks for the comment, BruceW,

After reading your statement, I have to assume that we will be getting the ADS PLUS treatment, and probably plenty of them.

But, I do feel strongly that Xfinity has not been honest about this migration.  Perhaps someone would choose not to go the "free" Yahoo route migration.  Having all the information before you make a decision is quite logical.

So, again, WHAT PLATFORM WILL WE BE GETTING WITH THE MIGRATION?  WITH ADS OR WITHOUT ADS?

Is there anyone associated with Xfinity who will step up and respond to us, their customers?

Hi @Anon1375032, this is a great question. We're still learning more about the transition as a whole, and at this time we are not sure about this detail in particular. Once we have more information we would be more than happy to provide you with an update. I would recommend checking in a little closer to the time of mass migration, but for now this is something we will learn more about soon.

While there is a link to information about the migration, at this point customers have not formally been informed of the migration.  The information found in the link is all the information we have at this point.  Again, you probably should reach out to Yahoo support for an answer to your question.

Closing this thread as that's all the information we can supply at this time.
