Why can't Xfinity show appreciation to long-term customers (close to 40 years)
I decided to upgrade my service to now include wifi/internet and phone. I put in the initial request on August 16 -- had to wait about 3 weeks before the Tech could come and install. The Tech comes but did not have the proper equipment to do the job -- said the order was written up wrong. Called customer service and they confirmed that the order was not clear as to what should be done. Set up another appointment for 3 weeks later. That Tech came and did not wait until the job was finished, so I am left with only getting one channel in my bedroom, which was fine before the Tech came. They ported my Verizon phone number before the Tech came and I was without landline service for over a week and they did not let me know. They were supposed to remove the big cable box in my spare bedroom and put it in my master bedroom. They did not -- they replaced the small card-sized box with a slice of bread-sized box (that's the one where I am getting one channel). They removed the DVR box in my living room and now I keep getting messages like "are you still watching, etc" which I wasn't getting at first. Now I have to wait almost another two weeks before a Tech can come out and see what's wrong. Trying to communicate either through the useless chat or even with the agents on the phone is a nightmare. Every one of them wants to blame the person before them, which leads me to believe that none of them know what they are doing. They truly need to retrain every customer service/tech service agent on the phones and in the chats so they can all be on one page. If there was another option, I would drop Xfinity and never look back. I can't believe they treat customers, especially one who has been with them for almost 40 years, the way they are. It is not the fault of the customers' that they do not have enough technicians. With their prices, they sure make enough to hire more. And the Tech that came on Sunday should not have left my house until the job was completed and everything was working properly. Thoroughly disgusted with Comcast/Xfinity. And please don't tell me to go to the App and handle my business. I don't pay Comcast to talk to an app. I want to talk to a live person.
