Weird intermittent, partial / full, internet drops.

Few times daily my whole local connection either cuts out for a second or two. I tried to dig around and actually see if it was happening on my side of the fence, vs the other side and it seems everything on my side of the modem is functioning fine. I'm just using the XB8 as my sole modem. It's very noticeable depending on the game being played, but a few it is consistently making the experience unplayable. All standard troubleshooting tricks didn't work, and the xfin assistant just says it found an issue and then does nothing about it. It does mention I'm eligible for an equipment update, but then the hyperlink is broken and doesn't work. Pretty impressive to be honest, pretty cool. I'm at the wits end so I'm just throwing this out as a random shot in the dark.

Hey there, @user_5ccpjg, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums! I can definitely understand how frustrating those brief drops would be, especially while gaming. Since you’ve already gone through the standard troubleshooting and Xfinity Assistant is detecting an issue, have you been able to test a device connected directly to the XB8 with Ethernet to see if the connection drops at the same time as WiFi?

I have, my desktop PC will usually be fine most of the day. Sometimes I'll get a minor drop in latency or ping during a game from how it feels altho the game itself won't pick up the drop on it's own latency monitor. It isn't as common for the connection to fully cut out, and drop fully which is the weird thing. I'll still maintain connection through the ethernet technically on my desktop. But temporarily I "loose" connection to everything I'm doing. A website usually doesn't have trouble since it is already loaded, but a game that requires being always connected will either, log me out, or buffer until connection comes back in about a second or two (enough time to either die or loose). I was kind of hoping the issue would resolve on it's own over time, but it hasn't and it's been about a month. Ethernet definitely isn't safe from the issue, and sometimes the interruption is long enough for the, Connected to Network, symbol to show I lost connection.

I've noticed some intense swings at times on my XB8 modem when I test the network when it happens. But that could be unrelated, maybe.

Frequency is probably about a dozen times a day for a big drop (3 seconds + up to the longest which was about 40 seconds) and the micro a connection drops I'll call them are pretty frequent a few every half hour it feels like, depending on the game.
