Very unreliable, Internet service, outages all the time
So far this week, and it’s only Wednesday (11/17/25) I’ve had 3 large outages in my area that has affected my entire network.
Last week xfinity pulled up in front of my house with three trucks, because we had a large outage. They found the issue, there was a line broke that needed to be spliced 4 feet down in front of my neighbors house.
I talked with one of the techs and explained to him all the outages we’ve had in my area in the last month, and the tech assured me that this was the issue.
But the tech also explained that every since they put the amplifiers in our area, we’ve had nothing but issues.
Sometimes our Internet is down for 15 minutes, comes back online, then down for another hour, then comes back online, then goes down for another hour. Etc. Then sometimes it’s down for several hours
I just recently found out that I could go online and request a credit.
I’ve missed out on a lot of credits because I never knew that I could.
Yesterday (11/18/25) and the day before I went online to request credits and was given a $5 credit for the last two days.
A $5 credit definitely is not worth all the hours and days that we’ve been out of Internet.
Also through this, my wife cannot work from home on her laptop because of the very unreliable Internet service we have had. $5 is not gonna make up that.
I went online to do another outage credit because our Internet has been out today and I was told I exceeded the maximum allowed credits for my account.
Shouldn’t I be able to go online every time we have an issue with our Internet and request a credit, I was told not only did I exceed the maximum number of credit, but I need to call customer service.
The last time I called customer service I have to go through a nightmare of automated menus, and then the customer service rep tried to upsell me all these things I don’t need.
Why is my Internet service so unreliable?
