Vacation Hold

Very unhappy xfinity has taken away the 8.00 vacation hold plan!! I find it very unreasonable that they are now charging 20.00 for this service. This is just unacceptable & I am sure I'm not the only unhappy customer.

Going to look for another service provider or Hotspot my phone. 😡😡😡😡

Hi @user_w9gbya

Thank you for reaching out and providing your feedback regarding the recent pricing updates. I understand this was not a welcome change for you, but we'll be glad to cover the different options for the plan. The prices can vary on the services you decide to keep.

I only have internet and wanted to suspend the service like I have previous years for 8.00 per month. This new fee of 20.00 is ridiculous especially for people who don't want any access!!!

user_w9gbya The $20 fee is if you need access to your internet such as for security or other automated systems in your place. Seasonal Xfinity Internet Suspend. You will not have internet access during the Seasonal Period. (Not available in all areas.) is $8.00 a month.

I am snowbird in Florida and the suspended plan for 8.00 was always available & also where alot of us put our internet on hold. This is now not an option which is kinda ironic isn't it.

user_w9gbya, the Seasonal Xfinity Internet Suspend with no access would continue to be $8.00 per month in the Florida region. If you're not seeing this option online (https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/seasonal-convenience-plan-enrollment,) I can help review this on my end. Was the $20.00 Seasonal Xfinity Internet Access the only option you saw when you attempted to enroll?

Xifinity increasing vacation hold from $8.00/mth to now $20.00/mth is a ridiculous increase.  Not one warning from the company to advise its customers that a massive increase was coming.  I am sure massive seems a bit extreme but it is not when you are on a fixed income.  We do not require any small amount of data to run security cameras or other things.  We just want to put it on hold.   A larger number of us seniors are getting together and talking about returning the modem box and just dropping Xfinity and looking to other company's.     We feel dooped , this is a shady practice not to warn people. And we are also sick of having to renegotiated our contracts all the time. Just be straight forward for the get go.

I live in central Florida for 4 months and only have Xfinity internet service. Enrolling in the Seasonal Convenience Plan is now $20 per month. There is no option for $8 per month like last year. When filling out the form, it states "You will be enrolled in the Seasonal Xfinity Internet Access Plan (20mbps) at $20.00/month." There is no opt out option. I live somewhere else for 8 months and do not need 20mbps.

Cancelling my Xfinity account and then installing the service again is cheaper than having to pay $20 for 8 months. The price increase and having 20mbps makes no sense. The $8 fee has been discontinued for those who only have internet service. Is there a cheaper option to have the internet completely shut off and keep my Xfinity account when I'm away?
