URGENT: Unprotected Comcast cable across roadway at intersection of Thompson St and Cascade Dr, Dayton, VA

I’m writing to report an unprotected Comcast cable crossing the roadway connecting two properties near the intersection of Thompson St and Cascade Drive in Dayton, VA. The line has been in place for more than a month and is not covered by a hard ramp or conduit. It presents a public safety hazard for pedestrians, vehicles, and maintenance equipment.

Requested actions:

1. Install proper temporary protection (hard rubber ramp or rigid sleeve) immediately or remove the line if not needed.

2. Provide the permanent repair plan and timeline (e.g., re-bore/restore underground).

3. Issue a ticket/case number and a field supervisor contact for follow-up.

Given the location in the public right-of-way, we need this addressed promptly. Please confirm receipt, next steps, and an update as to why the cable is there.
