Unauthorized addition of a landline and change of plan
Hi, I went to the Xfinity store to swap my modem and I discovered a week later that my plan was changed and a landline added without my permission. Now I have spent a long time with different agents on line and the nightmare keeps getting worse. One told me to sign on (this time I did sign) and then he will get the landline cancelled and the plan will revert. Instead the bill went up further and the phone cancellation guy told me that there will be a charge of 245. What?
Please help.

Thanks for taking the time to message in @user_1b7196. I am glad that you were able to talk to someone to remove the Xfinity Voice service which was already pending when you sent us a direct message. We were able to get you on an Internet only plan and make the needed changes to the account. Thank you for choosing Xfinity and hope you have a great rest of your week.

Thank you for reaching out to us @user_1b7196! This is far from the experience we want you to have. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? Our team can most definitely take a further look at this issue. To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
