Unable to start a live chat session

Hi, I’ve been trying to connect with a live agent through Xfinity Assistant for the past few days, but I keep getting the message “Unable to start a live chat session. Please try again later.”

Could someone please assist me here?

Thank you.

Hello @user_jwhhhj, and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums!

I can definitely understand why it would be frustrating to attempt to reach an agent via live chat and not be able to for an extended period.

Could you please give us a better idea as to what your concerns are that you are trying to address?  Any details you can provide (without revealing personal information) will help us to better provide assistance and direct you toward a proper resolution for any issues you may be having.

My monthly internet payment increased by 75% recently. I am wondering if there are any discounts or promotional offers available to reduce my monthly payment. Thank you.

Thank you so much for clarifying that for us @user_jwhhhj!  One of the easiest ways to see what promotions are available for your location is in the Xfinity Plan Builder.  There you can sign in with your Primary Xfinity ID and review options for your services and what promotional offers might fit your needs.

If you'd like us to further assist you with this, you can send us a Direct message* with your full name and service address, and we'd be happy to review what options may be available for you.

How to Send Us a Direct Message*:
(*Note: Never send a direct message to us unless requested by us.)

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
  3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
