unable to cancel service

Tried canceling my internet.  You can't reach any meaningful contact to cancel.  All this company offers is lower speed or change your address.  Why is this legal that I cannot cancel one of the poorest excuses for internet service with the highest prices.  I live in Longmont, CO which has its own internet offering.  I am going to the Colorado Protection Service and file a complaint.  This company want to hold hostages but not allowing you to change anything except buy when you go online. Secondly the auto-attendant and their dumb bot also act as preventative measures to keep you from getting any real help.  I'm sick and tired of complaining and I will file my complaint.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.

Well, thanks but you are powerless.  There is a corporate philosophy of give less, charge more, make it impossible for customers to control their accounts or even reach help.  Predatory tactics make account management difficult.  I’m done.
