Two Step Verification

Hello - I have been trying to set-up two step verification with Comcast but it is down. Why is it down? This is a basic security feature and why doesn’t Comcast have it working? I appreciate anyone’s help.

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with two-step verification, but you have definitely come to the right place for assistance. Can you please tell me a little more about what's happening when you try to set it up? Are you seeing an error message that says it is down, or does it just get stuck at some point in the process?

I have called into support last week and they said it was down. The error I get after I put in my number is "Unknown Server" error.

Add a mobile phone number

Once verified, your mobile phone number can be used to access your account as well as to receive phone calls or text messages regarding your service.

Unknown server error.

ha ha  I have my two step verification turned off and it still bugs me to add an external email and a cell phone number.  can't turn if off.
