Trying to order new remote

Our Xfinity remote no longer works, we've had it for years. I tried to order one via Xfinity assistant, but when it says it's connecting me to a chat agent, after ten minutes or so the agent still hasn't appeared. This is both on the desktop version and the app version of Xfinity. We'd just like to order a new remote, any help is appreciated.

Sorry to hear that your remote is not working, you can always pick up a free remote at anyone of our awesome Comcast Store. Just a friendly reminder, if you click on https://comca.st/2NdVXA7 and download our XFINITY TV Remote App you can turn your smartphone into a TV remote with the voice command control. How cool is this right, I used this app when my remote wasn't working. What I love is that Comcast does an amazing job of making it easy for you to enjoy your services. Does this help?

@XfinityErika​ Thank you. The Xfinity store is about 30 minutes from us, and since the app or Xfinity site aren't working for us, is there a way an agent at this site can help us order a remote? Thank you.

@cgl102770 Understandable! Having to drive about 30 minutes can be frustrating. Our team is happy to help you with placing an order for a replacement remote. Please send us your full name and complete address in a direct message. Here are the steps for sending us a message:

To send a Direct Message:


Ensure you are logged in


Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://comca.st/3roRA9w


Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon


The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.


 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.


 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.


 Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window


   Press Enter to send it
