Trying to add unlimited data..

When trying to add the unlimited data option to my account I get an error saying the service is temporarily unavailable (it's been saying this for months, which feels pretty permanent at this point).

This is double frustrating because xfinity creates the limitation and then they sell us the option to get past it but then it doesn't even work.

So how does one go about getting this option added to their count?

To send the requested information in a private message to Xfinity Support:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/peer-to-peer-chat

  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person", but don't do that.

Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.

  • Select "Xfinity Support" from the list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

  • Press Enter or tap the > icon to send it
