Thunderbird error 1044 in July 2024

I recently added my Comcast email account to a new Ipad and since then cannot access my email from my PC, using Thunderbird which is how I had always accessed it. I get the 1014 error.

I changed the password on all platforms and it worked the first time on Thunderbird but any time I have tried to get or send mail from Thunderbird on the PC, I get the 1014 error. I have read of this happening in threads on this platform.  The answers in those threads do not work for me. Can someone please help? Thank you.

@user_df9fd9 thanks for reaching out and sharing your experience with your email. I know how important my emails are so I would be asking for help if I were in your shoes too. We are happy to help but I do want to let you know that when it comes to third party emails we are pretty limited on support. That being said here is a fantastic link that Xfinity provides for helping third party emails:
