Throttling internet speeds.

When I first got Xfinity I was getting download speeds as high as 120 mb/s. I currently max out at 5 mb/s. I would like to receive the internet I pay for.

user_sx8pv8 Thanks for posting on our Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about your speed concerns. What troubleshooting steps have you completed so far? Did you try rebooting the modem manually or through the Xfinity App? Did you check the coaxial connection on both ends (wall plate and modem) to make sure it's tight? You can also check our "Tips for troubleshooting your Xfinity Internet connection" article for more information.

user_sx8pv8 Thanks for trying those troubleshooting steps in advance. Is this issue only affecting your PC? How are you connecting to the internet? Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

It is only my pc, I’ve checked drivers and it’s a newer pc so I know it’s not a hardware or driver issue. I’m connected WiFi, I can’t connect to Ethernet due to where the coax is hooked up in my house.
