Terrible Customer Service + Technician didn't show for either appointment
I have had nothing but issues, since I opened an Xfinity Account. When I signed up on July 14, I essentially agreed to some sort of contract over the phone through some bizarre dial tone system. After which I never received a copy of the contract OR of my account number. Since then the main Xfinity number hasn't been very helpful. I scheduled an appointment over the phone on July 14. The appointment was for today Saturday, August 1 from 8-10 AM. I waited on-site, and the technician never called stating they were on their way or showed. I called the main number ending in -6489, and after about 45 minutes a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines called me. Obviously, this is a call center so they basically do not have access to the majority of the Xfinity system. The rep tells me that the technician was waiting there for over an hour, and left. Having been on-site I told the rep that no one showed then, and to request proof that he called once on-site. The rep could not provide that, and instead offered to reschedule for between 2-4 PM instead, and informed the technician via some internal chat system to call when they were on the way. I waited again from 2-4:20 PM and no one showed.... After no one showed, I reached out through the Xfinity Chat Support system, and named Harsh from India explained that I could not have had an appointment as nothing is showing up. When I told him that I have an email with the date & time, he admitted he has limited access to the system. The unsaid part is that he's based in India, and much like the customer service rep from the Philippines really cannot do anything. I wasted well over 4 hours of my day, with no solution insight. Even the stores are managed by 3rd party companies, who state that they only do, "New Account Signups" and to call the Xfinity number ending in -6489 for support. I am beginning to doubt Xfinity employs anyone based in America?

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi @FuriousAtStupidity,
Thank you for detailing your recent experience and interactions with us. Our team is a corporate headquarters escalation team based stateside, and you'll find us working 7 days of the week from 6:00am to 1:00am est. I wish you would have gotten a better welcome to the Xfinity family, but we're here to help and get you on the right track. Just a heads-up our international partners are great, we have system limitations for many of our U.S. based teams as well. This just prevents errors that could be detrimental to the customer experience. Many agents are skilled in a particular area, and are excellent at just that. Our team is pretty rare in that we handle all things Xfinity. With that being said, we'll need some additional information to get this train back on track for you. Please send our team a direct message with your full name and service address.
