Target Scam

I was almost scammed but I didn't go through with it. During the process they paid my next months bill. I have talked to customer service several times about how this payment is not legitimant but can't get them to delet it. Has anyone else had success in getting this payment remove?

That is correct. The scammer made the payment when he thought I was going to get the target card.

I was on with CSA for an hour yesterday and they were no help. Said the payment was not in the system but couldn't tell me why is showed up on my online account in billing transactions.

Normally, our CSA Team is the route you want to go with when it comes to this type of issue. However, I'd be happy to take a look on our end as well to see if there is anything we can see. Can you send us a DM with your name and address? 

 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the “chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send your message

Talked with CSR and after the second person they agreed with me that is was not a legitimate payment. They said it could take up to 3 weeks to fix the issue. I still don't know how the scammer could make a payment on my account.

Have you gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill?  If so, the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.
