Switching from Xfinity to NOW Internet (May 2026)

Good morning,

Just like Switch my Xfinity internet service to NOW Internet Jan 2026, I would like to switch from my standard Xfinity internet plan to one through NOW Internet, minimizing any service downtime.

In that thread, a support team member explains how to set up a pending service disconnect so one is able to sign up for the new NOW Internet plan. I believe this is what I should do as well. Before initiating that process, it looks like I need to make a post on the forum before I can DM Xfinity Support, so here we are.

If I'm able to DM soon after this post, then I will proceed and follow the instructions in the prior thread as a starting point:

To get started on this please send us a direct message with your full name and the service address.

[Create a new message, start typing "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" field, select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears]

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.

Thanks in advance for any help, and let me know if I need to do anything else on my end.

Hi there, @user_r4kvvn. Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. Yes, to minimize downtime you would want to set up a disconnection of your XFINITY services, then place the order for NOW service.  Just to make sure you're aware, as it comes up pretty often, NOW services is not eligible for XFINITY Member rewards as you would no longer be an XFINITY Member, you are not able to use your own device with the service, and troubleshooting and support for NOW service is done strictly through the web portal and the XFINITY assistant. The link is here : https://www.xfinity.com/support/now. If you want to continue with setup of the disconnect, please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address, so we can get started.
