Switching Accounts
Hi, I am wanting to switch my account over to another person, since I am no longer living in the house. I am currently living over four hours away from the house which the wifi is servicing. Is it possible to get the account switched over without being in person? I am currently at a loss of what to do because I would like to not leave my old roommates without wifi, but also not having to pay out of pocket for wifi that I am not using.

Ideally it's best if you could go to a store with your former roommates and switch the account that way. Personally, though, I'd say cancel the service and let them start up as new users.

Thanks for meeting us here in our community, @user_qz5g99. You have a few options. The easiest for all is to set up a disconnection date, and have your roommates return the equipment (modem, or any cable boxes, home security) if you have any rentals. They would visit the nearest store to do the return. After, they could sign up for their own account, and walk out with their own equipment. The activation is by way of our Xfinity app, and would be simple. They also have us who could assist if they had trouble. They would have their own service within a couple of hours.
Another option is for you to visit a Xfinity Store if you are near one to process the changes. The third would be to do it all by email which would take a few days since the forms would have to be filled out by both parties remotely.
Here: https://www.xfinity.com/local/index.html is a link to all our stores.
