Switch my Xfinity internet service to NOW Internet Jan 2026

Hello Xfinity Support,

Similar to I would like to transition my Xfinity internet service to NOW without service interruption (https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/customer-service/i-would-like-to-transition-my-xfinity-internet-service-to-now-without-service-interruption/67bf7be704f4cf33962d7bfe), I would like to switch from current Xfinity Internet service to Xfinity NOW Internet.

IIUC, I need to first post to the forum before being able to DM Xfinity Support about setting up the pending disconnect to allow to order Xfinity NOW Internet for same address (and also provide details of the desired switch and timing).

I hope this post is sufficient. Please let me know if I need to post differently.

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Hello @EG ,

In https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/customer-service/i-would-like-to-transition-my-xfinity-internet-service-to-now-without-service-interruption/67bf7be704f4cf33962d7bfe?commentId=67bf7faa83fffd6eae9a4e28 , you mentioned about moving that thread to Customer Service help section. Is that the section that requests to set up pending disconnects are supposed to be posted to?

Is my understanding correct that I'm supposed to wait for a response to my post before initiating a DM to Xfinity Support?

Thank you and Happy New Year!

Hello @user_cwgpcv Thanks for making a post. In order to transition the service to our NOW internet without interruption there are a few steps we take.

1. We need to set up a disconnect of the current service. Usually 10 days out to allow time for the NOW service to ship you the NOW internet modem.

2. Once the disconnect is set up you will place the order at Xfinity.com/NOW to get the NOW service started.

3. NOW modem arrives in 3-5 business days. You can complete the activation then we will fully disconnect the old account.

To get started on this please send us a direct message with your full name and the service address.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
