Suspicious call

I received a call that was suspicious saying I need to provide more info to verify service? Was this spam?

No, we cant. Once again, an employee has posted a web address ("internet-security-site-web.ho-g3.cf.comcast.net") that is only accessible to employees with access to Comcast's internal, private Intranet, and NOT AVAILABLE TO CUSTOMERS. Perhaps the employee meant to post the page located at https://spa.xfinity.com/? Although, unfortunately, those pages have no information about verifying or reporting suspicious phone calls.  You may need to call them (see https://spa.xfinity.com/contact-us).

If you get a "Bad Request Request Header Or Cookie Too Large" message on that link, try logging in using a Private/InPrivate/Incognito window, or clearing the browser's cache and cookies.

I received several phone calls from 888 prefix and Xfinity only heading that are now asking for a picture of my Drivers License for verification of myself.

Something just doesn’t seem right and I want to know if this is a common process.

It's a very common process -- for criminals. Remember: scammers can send emails, texts, and phone calls that pretend to be coming from Comcast, IRS, FBI, or ANYTHING they think will trick you into giving them information they can use to scam you. Never give out private information unless you are very sure who you are giving it to!
