Struggling to Get reliable Internet Service at Home

I want to take a moment to express my deep concerns and frustrations regarding the unavailability of internet service from Xfinity, despite waiting patiently for months for construction to take place. I was finally able to sign up for the service on the Xfinity site and schedule an appointment for a technician to install internet in my home, only to be told by that technician that he was unable to due to construction not being finished yet. I've waited about five months for that. Now about a week or two later I'm I try to request service again on the Xfinity site only to be met with "Unfortunately, Xfinity service is not available at this address," like what happened with the construction just needing to be finished? I just wanted to use Xfinity services. This whole process has just been so taxing. I understand that construction projects can encounter unexpected challenges and delays, but what I want is just transparency and communication from Xfinity. I just want to use Xfinity internet services.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello and thank you for your post @GoldenY We are happy to investigate any construction in your area. Please feel free to send us a message with your full name and complete address. Here is how:

(Full credit to @BruceW for this excellent explanation!)

"Search for Xfinity Support" won't work. To send a "Direct Messaging" message to Xfinity Support:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

  •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

  •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

  • Press Enter to send it
