Still no Ethernet at my house [Edited]

I have been a customer since it was possible. Recently my privately owned modem finally died. I had ZERO problems with it both with reliable Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity over its service lifespan. When it died I went to my local Xfinity store and figured I would get one of their modems, the XB-8. I installed it at my house making the exact same connections I have always used but it would not work, at all, even as I spoke with a live agent on the phone. So I went back to the store, handed that modem back in and got another one. Brought it back to my house, made all the connections and none of the ethernet connections worked. Only the Wi-Fi worked. So now I am scheduled to have a technician come out in a week. This is after the technician I spoke to the other day. Said the technician would be there yesterday with a new box, but that never happened as it was never scheduled as promised. I have spent hours trying to resolve what should be a very simple process. I cannot tell you how truly astounded at how bad Xfinity still is after all these years, so inept so terrible at taking care of loyal customers. Still no Ethernet at my house, maybe next week!

Greetings @SSCape, and thanks for posting your issue to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. I am sorry to hear about the issues you are having with the new modem and the Ethernet ports, as someone that works from home and had multiple devices connected via Ethernet, I know how important that connection can be, but you have come to the right place for assistance. When you connect a device to the Ethernet port, do the lights on the port on the modem light up?
