speak to representative

I am getting weekly emails saying my email account will be closed on 9/30 if I do not update my "terms of service", is this a legitimate email?

... my email account will be closed on 9/30 if I do not update my "terms of service" ...

"Update" emails that have any sort of "click here or lose your access" demand are almost always scams. Do not click!

Check email that claims to be from Comcast/Xfinity with their Connect webmail (https://connect.xfinity.com/) and look for the XFINITY Verified Email logo. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/comcast-verified-email for examples of valid logo placement. A logo in the body of the email does not count.

Unfortunately, AFAIK the logo is not present when you view one of their messages in an email app or program. It's only visible when you use their web email site, and only for email sent to a Comcast.net address.

To report a scam email follow the instructions under the "How do I report phishing email sent to or from a Comcast.net email account?" heading on https://spa.xfinity.com/help/email-abuse?faq=spam-email.

Good morning @ronhockey, and thanks for posting to the Xfinity Forums, I hope you are having a good day. Like @BruceW mentioned, most of the time those emails are scam emails, but we would be more then happy to take a look at the account and see what we can find. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window, please add your full name and address
• Press Enter to send it

@XfinityJeff I drove to a store and an employee confirmed that it is from Xfinity.  Apparently they are "moving over to Yahoo" and this is necessary.  She said it will still appear as Comcast.
