someone from Direct Tech called me. Scam?
Got a phone call saying they were from Comcast. Offering me a new promo on my account. Would lower my bill by $50/mo and increase my internet speed. He asked what I'm currently paying. I told him if he was from Comcast, he should KNOW what I'm paying. He did have all my info including when my next comcast bill is due and what the amount due is. While on the phone with him, I googled the phone number he gave me to contact him for questions. That made me suspicious bc why would I contact anyone but comcast if I was having internet problems? The # he gave me was to Direct Tech. Does Comcast have any affiliation with Direct Tech? the number at the top of this page is what he gave me http://directtech-solutions.com/

I checked your link. It looks like they might be used to get people to upgrade services for companies like Comcast.
They would get a commission for doing this. I would never use anything like this. In fact, I ignore calls from Comcast doing this.
If you did want a specific service, it would be better to deal with a live person a service center You can ask questions there.
I should have added that they likely got limited information on people being called. It does not look like information was hacked.
