Service feed line exposed
When my Xfinity service cable was installed at my home, the field techs must have basically laid it next to my sod line (the lot next door was vacant) so, when the home was built next door, it was unearthed as they prepared the neighbors lawn for sod. Not knowing what to do with the line, the contractors simply laid it on top of the grass. What do I need to do in order to get it reburried? I have not been successful getting anyone at Xfinity support to understand that I need another work order to bury the existing line, not replace it or close or complete the original "bury cable" work order.

Hello @Liveone,
That's a great question, and thank you for posting to the Xfinity Forum. I'd be happy to help! Typically, the tech installs or replaces the underground cable (drop) from our tap to your home, and a request is placed for a contractor to come out and bury it. Depending on the time of year your install is completed, weather conditions such as snow and rain can impact the ability to mark the utilities on the ground and use equipment to bury the cable line. I'm sorry that we missed the opportunity to come back out to get this taken care of. I can contact your local techs and submit a request for you.
