Scammy customer service
I've dealt with actual scammers that were less underhanded. I called to get an update on an order that I placed. Next thing I know, customer service completely changed the subject and tried to sell me [Edited: "Inappropriate Language"]. Started sounding like a discounted promotional rate, and then it was just fee after fee, and a 3 year contract, after establishing that there was no commitment. They straight up lied to me and then changed the conditions. Zero transparency.

Hello @user_6xfxvt, and thank you for reaching out with your concerns and your experience here on our Xfinity Community forums.
I can understand why you're frustrated. Reaching out for a simple order update and instead being met with a sales pitch would be an upsetting experience. It's even more concerning when the conversation shifts from what sounds like a promotional offer to additional fees and a long-term commitment after being told there was no contract involved.
No one wants to feel like the details are changing as the conversation progresses, and I can see why the lack of transparency left you feeling misled. We'd be happy to help with your original inquiry. Please send us a Direct Message* with your full name and service address, and we'll be glad to take a closer look.
