Scam using official Xfinity number
I received a call from official Xfinity phone number. The caller claimed he is from Xfinity technical department and said my home IP address has been hacked. He use netstat command to prove my IP address has been hacked and asked me to download Anydesk from Xfinity Web site to remotely control my laptop. What really concerns me was that the call was coming from the official Xfinity number, making me to believe the call is legitimate. Is the scammer a Xfinity employee? Otherwise, how can he know my phone number and call from Xfinity phone?
Xfinity needs to take this seriously and investigate.

Good morning @user_5vwx48, and thanks for posting to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. I am very sorry to hear about the experience that you had with that person claiming to be a Xfinity employee. We don't generally reach out to customers over the phone, and we never ask for a customer to download any software or remote access someone's devices, so that was not a legit phone call. The caller was probably spoofing the number so that it would appear to be a real employee call.
