Scam - 50% off the bill if prepaid
The scam is still ongoing and the fake Xfinity call center is still doing great. I have lost $750 to the scammers 2 days ago. When I have finally managed to get through to Xfinity security department, they have told me that I was the only person who reported this sort of scam to them. Now, I can see there are plenty of posts with identical scam description on this website. Why Xfinity does not send an email to all customers, warning them ? I also believe my account was hacked. The agent on the phone knew exactly what was the amount on my next bill and they have attempted to manually pay it from an account I do not recognize. At least Xfinity cancel the penalty fee for the check that wasn't mine and couldn't be covered. I would like some explanation from Xfinity as to what steps they are proactively taking in order to stop this ongoing fraud.
