Hello, @user_yih30l! Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums. I apologize to hear that your bill is higher than expected. It sounds like your first bill is slightly higher due to a change of service in the middle of a billing cycle or since we bill a month in advance you could be seeing it higher with a prorate first month and 2nd-month charge on one bill.
As for not seeing the DM icon, you would have to make your first post for it to be available (which you have just done, welcome). You may need to log out and back in to see it. Also note, that sending unsolicited Direct Messages to an Official Employee of the Xfinity Community Forum is a violation of Forum Guidelines. Can you please click the Direct Message icon at the top right of the page, click on the pen and pad icon, enter Xfinity Support in the "To" section of the chat, and provide us with your first/last name and full address so we may further assist you?
