Requesting live updates on alleged planned repairs in area

My internet has been intermittently cutting out - normally it's been perfectly fine, but as of a short little while ago the latency randomly spikes out of nowhere. After a LOT of trial and error - the XFinity Chat has very short memory, so if the internet resolves for 15 minutes it forgets that there was a problem to begin with - I was able to get an on-site tech. He said that there were some old parts, wires, or somesuch in the physical boxes outside, or something like that, and said he'd request repairs.

Is there a way I can view any updates on that? And for that matter, is there a way to actually speak to a representative or open an actual ticket for things like this? Every site, app, and phone option tries to redirect me to the Xfinity Chat Assistant, whose tech support amounts to telling me to turn it off and on again, and I am absolutely SICK of it.

Please advise; your internet services are normally stellar, and I've been a devoted customer for years, and I really don't want this to be what makes me break my brand loyalty. It's a bad omen when the system-recommended tags include "#customerservice #terrible #annoyed".

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
