Replace new cable before burying it

About 10 days ago a new cable was laid and I am awaiting its burial underground.

However, it has been bitten through so it needs to be replaced before it is buried.

Hi there, @user_dmck. Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum. Sorry to hear about the line being bitten while awaiting the burial. Are you experiencing a loss of service due to this as well?

We did for a while but it's working now.

Will the people burying the cable be able to replace it or does the whole process have to start over?

Glad to hear your service is working again. The process should not have to start over depending on the severity of the damage on the cable.

When might the cable be replaced then buried?

Also, I'll want to be present when the work is done which may not have been indicated before.
