renewal

My internet plan is coming up for renewal (Connect More plan at 400 mbps).  Online there is an internet offer for $40/month (300 mbps) with unlimited data, includes modem, price good for 5 years, with no contract.  Just spoke with an xfinity rep who told me that the exact same plan would cost me $65/month since I've been a long-term, loyal customer.  I can only get the $40 rate if I cancel my current service for 90 days.  Then was told that I would lose my "loyalty" benefits (10+ years with xfinity) if I decided to cancel.  How is it a loyalty benefit to pay $25 more each month as a long-term customer???  Probably will switch to 5G mobile internet but checking to see if anyone is getting a better offer through xfinity internet.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_v8rah5 Thanks for reaching out! The promotional pricing available to existing customers is still a savings over every day pricing. Also, if you're new to Xfinity Mobile you'll get a free Unlimited line for 1-year! Have you considered switching mobile providers? If so, what would motivate you to make a change?

It's disappointing that long-term, loyal customers need to pay $25 more each month for the exact same plan to other customers are getting at $40/month for 5 years!  I have a prepaid mobile plan already for the year, so it's  of no benefit to get a free mobile line.  I am trying to figure out why Xfinity will not offer loyal customers the $40 plan.  Probably will try 5G for a couple months and maybe consider coming back to xfinity as a "new" customer

Guess I'll be moving my service to 5G.  No point in loyalty as there doesn't seem to be any real benefit.  Thx for helping!
