Removing old aerial cable from our home

We have an old aerial line running to our house that are trying to have removed. It is some kind of old coaxial cable that must have been installed for the previous home owners at same point and that has clearly not been used for many years.

I previously contacted Comcast customer service about this issue and they sent a technician to our house. However, when the technician showed up, he said that he was told to fix our internet, not remove the cable. He didn't bring a ladder, so he couldn't do anything about the cable. He told me they would be in touch and send out the right person, but I never heard back from them and it’s been months.

I'm trying to message customer service here, but I currently don't have the option to do so, possibly because I haven't posted before.

Hi @pbs85,

Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. I would be more than happy to submit your request after reviewing the account. Could you please send us a direct message with your full first/last name, complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and your best contact phone number and email address?

You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon on the upper right page of the forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle "Xfinity Support" to send us a direct message. If you're signed in to your forums profile and because you have already posted to the public page, you should have the option to do so.

@pbs85 - Thanks again for bringing this to our attention! I'm so glad we were able to schedule a tech visit for successful removal of the Comcast line, and it's great that we were also able to submit a third-party request for the removal of those AT&T lines! Since the remaining work needs to be completed by another company, we're letting you work them going forward. But as I mentioned via Direct Message, please feel free to start a new post here if anything else comes up that we can address for you. We appreciate your time and diligence on this, and I enjoyed working with you :)
